A symposium • to map the contribution from art and design to overall scientific practices at KTH • to celebrate a new partnership in art and design between KTH and Konstfack • to discuss the possible contribution of the arts to innovation and scientific practice, using interdisciplinary examples from Aalto University, EIT European Institute of Technology, the Society for Artistic Research and the Journal of Artistic Research (www.jar-online.net), a new peer-reviewed journal being hosted by KTH • to explore the potential for a sixth KTH Research Platform: in art and design Preliminary programme: 12.00-13.00 Welcome address by KTH President Peter Gudmundson Lunch in KTH Värmeverket 13.00-17.30 Invited guest speakers Presentations by KTH researchers: examples of artistic and design-led research at KTH Discussions Refreshments & Closing address The latter part of the programme will take place inside KTH R1 Experimental Performance Space & Presence Lab A detailed programme and details regarding registration is under way.
