Tales from Planet Earth

Time: Wed 2014-04-09 - Sat 2014-04-12

Location: Filmhuset and KTH

Using film screenings as a central focus for discussion and workshops, we want to raise issues on narrative in science communication, film as a way of both spreading and creating knowledge, and the intersections between research, film making, policy making, and activism. Organised around the themes of Waste, Energy, the Circumpolar North and Environmental Justice, the festival will combine film screenings in the evenings with workshops, lectures and discussion panels during the afternoons.

Tales from Planet Earth will take place at Filmhuset and Nobelmuseet (The Nobel Museum) in Stockholm and is arranged by the KTH Environmental Humanities Laboratory in cooperation with the European Network of Political Ecology (Entitle) (more information about the network here ).

We have also recieved generous support from the Swedish research council FORMAS .

The festival is organised by .

A version of this film festival took place at the Center for Culture, History and Environment at University of Wisconsin 1-3 November 2013. Find out more here . Keep an eye on this page for more updates about the event.
