Register by sending an email to: higher-seminar@kth.se

We will meet both in person in the big seminar room at the division and online. If you are attending the seminar on site, you will need to take your computer with you. Even if you have not yet volunteered to introduce a tool, you may remember you had something really great installed, and then you would need to share your screen in Zoom. If you want to show an app that is on a tablet, you will need to install Zoom on that or alternatively we/you can film it with a different gadget while you are showing it. Beware of your privacy, we recommend you prepare a dummy project for showing the tool or think in advance which file is OK to show.

Several of you have already agreed to introduce some apps. We promise, it will be interesting! We will go through ideas in the order of the research process:

Data collection

  - copying and managing archival materials

  - doing and managing oral history interviews

Reading

Note taking/ analysis

Referencing

Writing

We will have an informal chat about successful and failed tools or tricks. Of course, there may be many more good productivity tricks we haven’t even thought about, so come with your tips! Sometimes, a low-tech tip is the best!

Warm welcome to everyone,

Kati lindström and Anja Moum Rieser
