KTH scholar Dr. Henrik Ernstson joining The University of Manchester part-time from Aug 2017

Published Aug 14, 2017

Dr. Henrik Ernstson at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology will from 1 Aug 2017 start a 10% part-time Human Geography position at The University of Manchester’s School of Environment, Education and Development.

His main duty is to teach but he will also be looking to develop interdisciplinary collaborations between KTH and Manchester in the field of urban environmental studies, in particular with his co-workers Professor Sverker Sörlin and Dr. Jacob von Heland at KTH, and Professor Erik Swyngedouw at The University of Manchester. Dr. Ernstson arrives at The University of Manchester at an exciting time with its newly launched Urban Institute to which he brings his wide-ranging international network, not least through his work at the African Centre for Cities at the University of Cape Town and his postdoc at Stanford University. Dr. Ernstson has been with KTH since 2013 when he left the Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University to join the Division of History of Science, Technology and Environment and it's KTH Environmental Humanities Laboratory.
