The Philosophy of Risk is an interdisciplinary field of research focused on the philosophical aspects of assessing and managing risks across various domains. This lecture will provide an overview of the significance of philosophical issues in risk management, problematize how values can influence risk analysis and decision-making about risks, and discuss challenges arising from uncertain, uncommon, or surprising risks (so-called 'Black Swans') and how we can improve in managing these types of risks.
