About me
I have a background in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design. As a part of a multidisciplinary team of researchers (ReFit project), my PhD research was focused on the development and evaluation of novel lubricants. In particular, towards understanding the tribotronic (controllable lubrication using external factors like electric fields, etc.) response of the ionic liquid based lubricants. Macro-scale studies include EHD film thickness measurements, Traction measurements and rolling contact fatigue characterization. These studies are complemented by techniques like Neutron reflectometry (NR) and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) to evaluate the lubricant / additive structuring in the boundary films.
My current role includes continued research activities in tribology and tribotronics. My research is funded by FORMAS Career Grant for Early-career Researchers (2024-00525).
My teaching responsibilities include various master level courses in Machine design and a role of Deputy Program Director for the MSc program in Machine Design.
