Om mig

Alejandra Navarrete Llopis is a researcher, educator, curator and designer based in Stockholm, and founder of NAMI Studio. Her current research focuses on the spatial implications of the mechanisms of inclusion and exclusion in contemporary cities. Her work has been recently awarded by the New York State Council on the Arts, the Graham Foundation, and by other European institutions. Together with the After Belonging Agency, she was Chief Curator of the Oslo Architecture Triennale 2016 which explored how architecture intervenes in the construction of new identities for a globalized and displaced population. Navarrete was trained as an architect at ETSAMadrid and IUAVenezia, and graduated from the MSc in Advanced Architectural Design at Columbia University GSAPP. She has taught seminars and studios at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Columbia University GSAPP, Pratt Institute, New Jersey Institute of Technology COAD and University of Virginia UVA.
