About me

I am an educator, researcher and practicing economist with specialization in real estate economics, asset and property valuation with more than 15 years of experience. Prior studies include MSc in Real estate management, MSc in Project management and operational development, Licentiate in the Built environment and Infrastructure and PhD in the Built Environment and Society: Management, Economics and Law from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, the latter focused on economic and institutional aspects of housing market dynamics in Sweden and in international context.

Research interests include analysis of relevant theories and empirical models that might explain development of house prices over the long run. Given that prices affect housing construction, my current research also explores the impact of the relationship between new construction and underlying fundamentals, together with various institutional arrangements like rent control, valuation, land and building policies that might differ between countries and thus affect the sustainable development of the housing markets over the long run.

Teaching portfolio includes course responsible and examiner roles in Real estate economics, Finance, Property valuation, Macroeconomics and Business cycles courses as well as supervision of theses on graduate and undergraduate levels.

My professional vision lies in the close interconnection between academy, business and society. I am a Member of the Managing Board of SEPREF Swedish Property Research Forum at Samhällsbyggarna Swedish Industry Network for the Built Environment.

Diverse management and leadership experience include various roles as member of recruitment committee, organizer of the industry seminars, mentoring and duties for safe working environment.
