About me

Foteini Kyriakidou is a lecturer and a course responsible at Architectural Lighting Design Division of School of Architecture and the Built Environment. She lectures and tutors students in Architectural Lighting Design Master Program and in Studio Architecture and Daylight (year 4-5). She also participates in research programs related to light and health as well as light and Nordic after-dark environments. Previously, Foteini worked as an architect and lighting designer both in Greece and Qatar since 2006, having considerable experience in design’s application and construction. She considers light to be an immaterial material with spatial extensions, acknowledging also its psychological impact on humans.
