Om mig
As a doctoral student at the school of EECS, I am researching methods toestimate the electrical parameters of multiphase electrical machines(MPEMs). My recent efforts have focused on the modeling and parameter identification of variable phase-pole machines (VPPMs). Such machines and their drive systems are not as well understood and widely available "off-the-shelf" today as their fixed-phase counterparts. However, as applications in the electrical transport sector emerge, there is a quest for lighter, more robust, and more efficient machines. This is where the MPEMs, in general, and VPPMs, in particular, are envisioned to play an essential role in the future. In my research project, I am being supervised by docent Luca Peretti.
From September 2023 to March 2024, I pursued a research exchange at the Politecnico di Torino. Together with the team of Prof. Gianmario Pellegrino at the Power Electronics Innovation Center, we developed methods to assess and mitigate the detrimental effects of active short circuits of permanent magnet synchronous machines in automotive applications.
