Student research opportunities
If you are a student at KTH and look for research projects, there are several opportunites:
- as a project in the (first cycle) course Models and Simulation (DD1354).
 - as a project in the (second cycle) course Advanced Computation in Fluid Mechanics (DD2365).
 - as a project in the (second cycle) Project course in Scientific Computing (DD2444).
 - as a Bachelor project.
 - as a Master project.
 - as a PhD project.

The field of research in such projects is Computational Mathematics/Computational Science, with (for example) applications in:
- Aerospace (spacecraft launch/re-entry,...)
 - Biomedicine (heart, circulatory system,...)
 - Aero/hydrodynamics (vehicles, animals,...)
 - Renewable energy harvesting (wind energy, ocean energy,...)
 - Built environment (air pollution, pedestrian comfort,...)
 - Environmental science (atmosphere, ocean,...)
 - Astrophysics (space weather, star formation,...)

An introduction to this field is the (second cycle) course Methods in Scientific Computing.
