Om mig

I am an Assistant Professor of Industrial Automation and Intelligent Robotics at the Department of Production Engineering at KTH. Prior to that, I was a Research Fellow of the Swedish Research Council - Vetenskapsrådet and worked as a PI on AI4Robotics at the University of Cambridge (UK) and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland). Prior to this position, I was a Research Scientist in Robotics, Control, and AI at the ABB Corporate Research Center in Sweden. My research interests focus on Robot Learning, World Models + RL, Autonomous Mobile Robots, Foundation Models, Industrial Automation, Neuroengineering, and Production Engineering.

Projects (ongoing):

1. Learning-based brain robotics, funded by the Swedish Research Council-Vetenskapsrådet, 2023-2026, SEK 3.45 M (PI).

2. Aria4Robot: Egocentric data-driven policy learning for robot manipulation, funded by Meta (Aria Project), 2025-2027 (Collaborator: EPFL Biorobotics Lab) (PI).

3. World model and reinforcement learning-based dexterous manipulation, funded by LinkerBot, 2026-2028 (PI).

4. Robotics foundation models for general-purpose manipulation skills, supported by the National Academic Infrastructure for Supercomputing in Sweden (NAISS), NAISS Medium 2026, (PI) (supporting large-scale policy learning).

Infrastructure:

  • Robot arms: ABB-120, 1600, UR5, Kinova, PiPER-X, Humanoid robot (Realman), Franka R3, Trossen Robotics (ViperX-300s, WidowX-250s).

  • Desktop GPUs: 4090, 5090.

  • Cameras: Event, RGBD cameras.

  • Hand gripper: LinkerBot - O20; Motion capture gloves.

  • Wearable Glass: Aria Gen 1 and Gen 2.

I am looking for PhD students in Automation and Robotics funded by my AP fellowship, long- or short-term RAs, Master's students, and interns who are strongly interested in Embedded AI, Robotics, Robot Learning, and Industrial robotics.
