Services and resources at KTH and CSC
Information regarding computer-related services (e g email, printing, backup) and administrative services (e g access cards) that is handled by Systemgruppen, the KTH CSC Systems group.
There are several email systems at KTH. Everybody connected to KTH (students and employees) have a central email in the form of user@kth.se. As an employee at CSC you also have access to a local email adress, user@csc.kth.se (and some local variations).
Access cards
We provide access cards to students at KTH Campus and guests to CSC. Employees at CSC get their cards from the local service department.
Other types of access cards are used by other KTH campuses, e g Kista Campus. These cards do not work in our system.
Printing
Students with a CSC computer account are limited by a print quota. 400 free pages are given each semester. To print more, you will need to purchase additional pages, at a cost of 50 SEK per 100 pages. Additional pages can be purchased at the student office at Osquards backe 2. An email is automatically sent to you when your quota limit is reached.
Backup
Backup is essential for any computer system. CSC obviously take regular backups of home directories and other local data. But we also provide other backup services, for employee laptops and other non-local computer systems.
