Industrial Biotechnology

The division holds three tenure professors and a further eleven senior scientists active in different disciplines of Industrial Biotechnology.

The primary areas of interest are connected to biorefinery technology, different aspects of health such as DNA diagnostics and growth of stem cells, technology for capture and removal of pollutants in wastewater and minimizing the use of pesticides in forests. The total staff is approximately 40 people.

This department belongs to the School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health.
