Talk abstract:
In this talk I will introduce the Dialogue System that we are developing
for the ORCA Hub, a project to bring robotics to off-shore energy
platforms. In the first part of the talk I will describe the
architecture that were developing. This architecture was used to perform
two wizard-of-oz studies using an emergency scenario where we tried to
study the impact of user expertise in trust. In the second part, I will
address symptoms of cognitive load which were visible in interactions
with a dialogue system. These will be very important envisaging a future
design of our system where we will implement adaptive strategies to deal
with different levels of cognitive load.
