Engineering science

What distinguishes the research at the School of Engineering Sciences is the extensive experimental activity and that several research groups are world leaders in their research areas.

The school's research covers almost everything from basic mathematics to applied mechanics. The school work with basic research both theoretically and experimentally in almost all areas, often in collaboration with international universities, colleges, research institutes and industry. The applicable research is often a combination of theoretical, numerical and experimental work and is conducted in most cases in collaboration with universities and industry both in Sweden and internationally. The research is conducted at the school's departments that are also involved in its competence centres.
