In a remarkable academic achievement, Dr. Charnaldo Jaime Ndaipa emerged triumphant after successfully defending his doctoral thesis at KTH. The rigorous examination marked the culmination of years of dedication, and perseverance, as Dr. Charnaldo Jaime Ndaipa showcased his expertise and contributions to his field.

Learning in STEM

Since the fall of 2018, Charnaldo Jaime Ndaipa has been working on his PhD at Learning in STEM at the Department of Learning in Engineering sciences, focusing on why Mozambican universities are going international. 

He mentions “This study is important because it sheds light on a topic that hasn't been researched much, especially from the perspective of the global South. What's even more interesting is that it combines innovative theories like neo-institutionalism and decolonialism, which haven't been brought together by previous researchers”.

Under the guidance of his advisors, Professor Lars Geschwind   and Associate Professor Kristina Edström . Dr. Charnaldo Jaime Ndaipa has delved deep into his research topic. He has pushed the boundaries of knowledge and shed new light on HEOS (Higher Education Organisation Studies).

The defense committee, comprised of eminent scholars and experts in the field, commended Dr. Charnaldo Jaime Ndaipa's comprehensive understanding of the subject matter, as well as his ability to articulate complex concepts with clarity and precision. His mastery of the research methods and his thought-provoking conclusions left a lasting impression on the committee members.

Dr. Charnaldo Jaime Ndaipa expressed his gratitude to his advisors, mentors, and colleagues for their invaluable support throughout his doctoral journey.

When asked about his future plans, Dr. Charnaldo Jaime Ndaipa revealed his aspirations to continue pushing the boundaries of internationalism, leveraging his expertise to tackle other Mozambican universities.
