Communicate in English

KTH Language and Communication offers the following courses in English. These courses will boost your confidence, show you how to avoid errors and help you to write and speak English more effectively in academic and professional situations. Simply put: our aim is to help you improve your English.

The courses combine a variety of enjoyable and valuable communication activities with the use of authentic material. This material will be used to help further your understanding of current affairs in the fields of science and technology and, as you work in groups with people from different parts of the world, you will hopefully be inspired to use your improved English in new and exciting ways.

Your progress will be assessed continuously and your English will be corrected systematically, with an emphasis on correct English and effective, appropriate communication for real situations.

Contact your study advisor or international coordinator today to find out if you can take an English course with us.

B2-level courses

Our language courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages , and English B2 is the level we recommend for KTH students: it is a natural continuation from studies at high school, and it is the level required for writing academic work.

Most of our B2-level courses are worth 7.5 credits, running over one period only. In addition, we offer LS1415, a 3-credit online course. Follow the links to the right to course plans and further information.
