Published Oct 09, 2014

If you had a button that could solve your everyday problem, what would you connect it to? That is the question on many lips at the moment. "Flic" is the button and the innovation spreading like wild fire on social media.

The team behind Shortcut Labs. Amir Sharifat, Pranav Kosuri and Joacim Westlund.

Just over two weeks ago, Shortcut Labs - a case that has followed the KTH Innovation support process and been a member of Student Inc. - relesed a teaser of what's in the pipeline. The button, or Flic as it's called, stops you having to haul out your smartphone to make a call or change songs on Spotify, for instance. The product has not yet reached the market but is already a celebrity in it's own right and on Twitter the hype is tangible.

- We are excited about the fact that interest is this high before we even launched Flic. Today, people like to simplify things, and this is a solution that everyone can relate to, says Pranav Kosuri, Co-Founder and CCO at Shortcut Labs.

Feedback from users

Sweden is tech savvy and Pranav Kosuri thinks that the overwhelming response is partly due to the large developer community, The crowd funding campaing launching mid November will disclose more about the product but Pranav Kosuri maintains that the response from potential customers is particularly important to capture at this stage.

- We literally take pen to paper and jot down all tips and suggestions that are appearing on Twitter and in social media, we really take it into account when putting the finishing touches to the product, he says.
