We support students, researchers and employees at KTH who want to develop new ideas or create research impact through commercialization.

KTH Innovation: world-class innovation support

At the center of entrepreneurship at KTH is KTH Innovation, providing world-class support for new ideas from students, researchers and employees. We work closely with regional and international partners, with the mission of enabling more technology and knowledge from KTH to create impact in society.

KTH Innovation Readiness Levels

Our innovation support model has been inspired by NASA's Technology Readiness Level. It is used by hundreds of organizations in the world, like Imperial College and Vinnova.

We help you develop your ideas

At KTH Innovation, we support students, researchers and employees at KTH who want to develop an idea or create impact from your research. Our support is free, confidential, and we take no equity.

No matter if you have no experience of entrepreneurship, or if you feel you’ve got the hang of things, our support is for you.

Contribute to innovation projects from KTH

If you, your organization or your company want to contribute directly in innovation projects from KTH, there are several ways.

The teams that KTH Innovation supports often need to build a complete team, bring in consultants for shorter assignments, or secure funding or investment. By joining KTH Innovation’s networks, you’ll get regular updates on current openings.

KTH Holding

KTH Holding is a state-owned company investing in very early stage companies from KTH. KTH Holding invests and helps researchers and students to build companies from their ideas, research results and intellectual property rights (e.g patents).

  • Since the start in 2007, we have supported over 4000 ideas from students, researchers and employees at KTH.
  • In 2022, we met 364 teams with new ideas
  • We have helped file over 600 patent applications
  • We have helped start close to 400 companies that are still active today
