New fund for investment in young digital tech companies

Published Jan 10, 2018

SEK half a billion – that’s the amount of capital available to the brand new fund Lumniar Ventures. The fund will be managed by the business angles Magnus Bergman and Jacob Key, supported by Linda Höglund, CFO and Daniel Karsberg, investment manager. Investments will be made in the very early stages and active angle support will be provided to tech startups.

Lisa Ericsson, CEO KTH Holding AB and Head of KTH Innovation

KTH Holding AB is tasked with investing in spin-offs from KTH and is participating in Luminar Ventures as investor and strategic partner.

”Access to early venture capital has been a large problem for tech oriented companies in recent years. It is our ambition for KTH Holding, through participating in Luminar Ventures, to contribute to increase availability of venture capital for startups from the KTH eco system of innovation support” says Lisa Ericsson, CEO of KTH Holding AB. While saying that, she emphasises that the fund will not be exclusive and that it is up to each KTH spin-off to select and evaluate suitable investors. ”The business angles Magnus and Jacob have previously been engaged with many KTH spin-offs and we look forward to continued mutually rewarding collabotation in the years to come” she adds.
