Sports, technology and innovation is in focus as the Swedish Olympic Committee, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Karolinska Institute, and the Stockholm School of Economics invites media to a press lunch at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium.

The event marks the launch of the Swedish Olympic Academy’s sportstech initiative SPIN Accelerator, a so called accelerator program focused on sports and technology.

The Swedish Olympic Academy (SOA) is a foundation founded by the Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK), KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Karolinska Institute and the Stockholm School of Economics.

Stockholm is a world-class center for innovation, and number three in Europe within sportstech. Therefore, Stockholm is the given choice when SOA launches the initiative SPIN Accelerator together with the international organization HYPE, the world’s largest global ecosystem for sports innovation. Combining SOA’s competence and HYPE’s international network, the participants together have the power of elevating Stockholm as a sportstech city. Nir Ben Lavi, Managing Investor and CEO of HYPE US will join us to share insights on new trends in sportstech.

Sportstech startups putting the athlete in focus are welcome to apply to the accelerator program, which will contribute to making them global success-stories.

Welcome to a press lunch at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium on February 14th at 12.00.

Nir Ben Lavi shares insights on new trends in sportstech, and Lisa Ericsson, Head of KTH Innovation, Stefan Lindeberg, CEO of the Swedish Olympic Academy, and Martin Carlsson-Wall, Director of the Stockholm School of Economics Center for Sports and Business, will expand upon the initiative.
