KTH and research for a Sustainable Development

This page presents how sustainable development is approached through KTH research.

KTH’s focus rests on four pillars: Sustainability, Gender equality, Internationalisation and Digitalisation. Research for sustainable development is expressed as a goal in the overarching steering documents, e.g. in , in development plans, and in business plans, both at a central level and for different parts of the university. There is a policy for sustainable development , sustainability objectives  and the environmental management system ISO 14001  that steers KTH:s sustainability work. Moreover KTH signed the climate framework for universities in Sweden  KTH in 2019.
