MSc Renewable Energy (InnoEnergy)
The master’s programme in Renewable Energy prepares students to develop and deploy the technologies needed to expand renewable power and sustainable energy use. Students build a foundation in renewable generation and energy engineering before deepening their expertise through advanced courses and projects. Depending on their study route, subjects include solar, wind, marine energy, bioenergy, hydrogen and storage, together with their integration into energy systems.
Renewable Energy at KTH
Delivered through InnoEnergy Masters+, this two-year, full-time programme comprises 120 ECTS credits and is taught in English. Students study at two universities in different European countries and, on successful completion, receive a master’s degree from each.
KTH offers study options in either year. First-year learning spans renewable technologies, sustainable generation and energy use in buildings. Advanced study provides opportunities to explore solar energy, polygeneration and other areas through electives and project work. Students complete the other year at a partner university abroad.
A final-semester thesis develops the ability to investigate a renewable-energy research or technology challenge. Entrepreneurship education at Esade Business School and opportunities for industry collaboration complement the engineering curriculum, connecting technical expertise with the development of renewable-energy projects and businesses.
