Why did you choose this master’s programme at KTH?

Having completed my bachelor programme in Computer Science this felt like the perfect way to both widen and deepen my knowledge. Mathematics is one of the most valuable and fundamental tools we have in today's world, and its importance is only increasing. Just look at artificial intelligence, primarily built upon math and becoming more powerful every day.

How is student life in Stockholm?

I genuinely love the student life in Stockholm! No matter your preferences, there is something for you to enjoy. At KTH, we have 22 chapters organized in a union called THS, all with their own chapter hall. Those are great places to study, hang out and meet other students from your programme. Together with Nymble, the union building, these are places where pubs, gasques and other fun events occur. All in all, Stockholm is a very friendly city where you can find a lot of students arranging fun activities for each other.

How would you describe your time at KTH so far?

Amazing! After graduating high school, I was very uncertain of what to do. After 4 years at KTH, I can confidently say I made the right choice. Life at KTH has taught me so much, and I am not only speaking of the courses. The education is challenging and interesting, constantly pushing me to learn more. Partaking in all that student life has to offer has made this the most memorable and fun period of my life so far.

What do you want to do after graduating?

I’m not certain as of yet. My bachelor studies have opened up many doors within the IT sector, some of which seem promising. Now, I have two years of mathematics ahead of me, which will undoubtedly widen my potential career options even further. In just a few months, I will choose my specialisation track for my master's, so hopefully, that might give me some guidance. Right now, fintech seems like a place that I would like to begin my career in, but long term I definitely see myself in a leadership role.

What would you like to say to students thinking of choosing KTH for master’s studies?

In short, I recommend it. The education quality is super, meaning you will learn a lot, combined with passionate teachers who make you want to engage even more. With regards to student life I can say that it is amazing. Being located in the capital also facilitates cooperation and interaction with students from other universities. Stockholm is also a great city in terms of its size. It is big enough for you always to have things to do and visit while still remaining small enough to comfortably be able to ride your bike everywhere.
