Safia comes from Pakistan. She received her bachelor's degree in computer science and decided to pursue a career in Information Technology. In her spare time, she likes to read books and search for new things.
What made you choose KTH and your master’s programme?
I am very interested in computer science especially in the area of software engineering. After a thorough review, I felt KTH was the place which would help me in building my career. KTH is one of the best technological universities in Europe with an outstanding reputation. KTH was my first choice, and so far I feel that my decision was perfect. I like KTH staff as they are very cooperative, and one can easily communicate with them because the academic language is English.
What do you like most about KTH?
I like KTH and love being a student at KTH as it feels like being at home. At KTH we are not only learning but also gain experience and relations by socialising in our big family.
What are your impressions of Stockholm and Sweden?
Sweden is wonderful. I thought that it would be hard as far as communication goes when I came in Sweden, but Swedish people are awesome, amiable and they speak English very well.
I think Stockholm is one of the most underrated tourist destinations in Europe!
What do you like most about being here?
I would say the KTH overall reputation attached to me. Now I am proud to say that yes, I love to be a student at KTH, because of its excellent environment and educational high educational standard.
What is your best memory so far from your time at KTH?
My very best memory so far has been completing my first year, and most of the work was done in groups.
What do you think are the differences between studying at KTH and your home university
There are a lot of study differences between KTH and my home country. At KTH the teaching style is different. Study material and programme syllabus meet the highest international standard.
What would you like to say to students thinking of choosing KTH for master’s studies?
I believe KTH is an excellent choice if your aim to receive a modern education as well as technical training with high standards. So my advice to you is that you should join KTH. You can enhance your programming skills. You can gain outstanding job offers before completing your degree.
