Why did you choose this master’s programme at KTH?

Given the global concern over climate change and the urgent need for sustainability, prioritising the well-being of our planet has become paramount. With Sweden leading the way in sustainable practices, I decided to pursue my master's degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering. Among the esteemed universities in Sweden, KTH stands out as one of the top-ranked institutions worldwide. Its exceptional faculty members are renowned for their expertise and are dedicated to supporting students in their academic pursuits. Consequently, choosing KTH's master's programme was a natural choice for me.

What are the best aspects of your programme?

One of the most significant elements pertains to selecting our study track, as each track offers unique interests related to sustainability. Moreover, all the courses offered are highly practical in nature. They provide us with valuable opportunities to engage in real-life scenarios through projects and assignments that simulate the tasks and responsibilities an engineer would encounter in the actual world.

Have you chosen a specialisation track within the programme? If Yes, which track and why?

I have chosen to take Energy in Buildings and Cities track due to its multidisciplinary nature. This track encompasses all aspects of a building's operational phase, including the physics of heating, cooling, humidity control, and the overall comfort of occupants. What particularly captivates me are heat pumps, chillers, and HVAC systems, and this track aligns perfectly with my interests.

What are some of your favourite courses so far?

Selecting a favourite course can be challenging, but if I had to choose, it would be "Energy Supply Systems for Buildings." This course offers a valuable study visit opportunity, reinforcing and expanding upon the class's conceptual knowledge. One aspect that stands out is the hands-on experience gained through assignments, specifically designing the required vapour compression cycle. These practical-oriented assignments make the tasks engaging and enjoyable, adding extra interest to the course.

How is student life in Stockholm?

Stockholm, a stunning city renowned worldwide, captivates visitors with its abundant islands waiting to be explored. Its breathtaking scenery creates an inviting atmosphere for delightful weekend hikes. I find great pleasure in strolling through the city, admiring its remarkable architecture, and cherishing the distinct charm of Gamla Stan, a cherished spot of mine.
