Mechanical properties

Mechanical properties show a materials ability to withstand an applied load. It is important to be able to characterize these properties in different temperatures.

Researchers and dilatometer

Mechanical properties for a material refers to its ability to withstand an applied load. It is important to be able to characterize the mechanical properties in a range of temperatures in order to simulate processing of the material as well as the service conditions. In our lab, we can measure the compression and tensile deformation of materials from low temperature up to high temperature using a deformation dilatometer.
