Thermophysical properties

Thermophysical properties are exhibited by a material when heated. These properties are important for how materials reacts when they are subjected to heat fluctuation.

Instrument

Thermophysical properties are those properties of a material that is related to its conductivity of heat. General speaking, the properties are exhibited by a material when the heat is passed through it. These properties can decide how the materials reacts when they are subjected to heat fluctuation. Thermophysical properties of materials, i.e. metals, ceramics, oxides, etc can be, for example, their thermal expansion, heat capacity, thermal conductivity.

The laboratory has excellent instrumentation for the measurement of thermophysical properties for inorganic materials, focused on metallic alloys and high-temperature materials.
