Automatic Control Project Course 2012

In an 8 week course at KTH, The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, a loading dock of the future was built.

It was possible to design and build an integrated scenario of three processes; wirelessly controlled trucks and a quadrocopter as well as a stationary tower crane. The three processes are controlled with PID controllers and an MPC controller and they communicate with each other via a messaging scheme that was designed. They receive location information from an infrared-camera motion capturing system.

The system was finished on schedule and at the planned quality level. The delievered system can be extended further.
