Micrograph Art Award for Carlos Errando-Herranz

PhD student Carlos Errando-Herranz received one of this year's Raith Micrograph Award . The micrograph, entitled 'The beast awakens' was made with a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and features a microfabricated silicon cantilever, part of Carlos' research on MEMS tunable photonics . 

Carlos works together with Frank Niklaus , Göran Stemme , and  Kristinn B. Gylfason , on photonic MEMS projects for biosensing and communications .
