Division of Nuclear Waste Engineering

Most of the division's research concerns flow, transport and reactions in porous media.

The research includes industrial applications such as adsorption, chromatography,
ion exchange, leaching etc and processes in natural systems such as
soils and rocks.

In the natural systems the fate and transport of contaminants and
remediation of contaminated soils is studied experimentally, theoretically
and by field experiments.
