The KTH Pre-sessional course helps you:

• Develop your scientific communication skills in English. You will have the chance to practise your presentation skills, work in seminars and on group projects, and learn how to structure and write scientific reports. You will learn how to refine your English language use for maximum clarity and effect. You will receive personalized feedback on your work at every stage of the course.
• Understand the conventions of scientific communication. You will develop your understanding of scientific conventions connected to scientific texts, academic language use and referencing.
• Adapt to a new academic culture. You will learn about how people teach and learn at KTH, and get used to important university systems and processes before you start your Masters studies. You will also explore important issues such as sustainability.
• Develop good practice around AI writing technologies. You will learn how to approach tools such as Generative AI critically and ethically.
• Get to know people from different backgrounds. There will be opportunities to study and socialise together, and to start to make connections and forge friendships as you settle into Stockholm, Sweden and KTH.
