Job description

As an Admissions Officer with responsibility for applications to joint master programmes within InnoEnergy, you will process applications and assess international qualifications. You will provide support and guidance to students via email and phone, and participate in various recruitment activities such as webinars and welcome events.

You will work closely with an Admissions Coordinator from the International Office within the department. Together, you will plan, execute, and evaluate the different admission rounds for InnoEnergy. In addition to your work with InnoEnergy, you will also contribute to admissions tasks for other KTH programs.

Travel may be required as part of the role.

The workload is intensive during certain periods, so you need to be able to manage high work intensity and meet strict deadlines.

About the Department/Team

The position is based in the Admissions Team within the Education Office at KTH:s University Administration, but most of the work is carried out for the InnoEnergy consortium through an external application portal according to consortium guidelines.

The Admissions Team is responsible for admissions to KTH:s bachelor’s and master’s programmes as well as joint programmes. The team also manages tuition fees and scholarships for fee-paying students.

Currently, the team consists of 17 colleagues. We have a positive and collaborative work environment where we enjoy working together. You will have significant responsibility in your role, while also receiving strong support from your team.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A university degree in a relevant field
  • Excellent command of English and good knowledge of Swedish, as both languages are required in daily work. English is the working language within InnoEnergy, while Swedish is used within the Admissions Team
  • Ability to understand and adopt the student perspective, as you will have frequent contact with prospective and admitted students
  • Strong experience working with digital tools and systems
  • Experience using digital platforms for communication, documentation, and follow-up

Personal qualities

The role requires that you can work independently and take significant responsibility while being structured and exercising sound judgment in your decisions.

You should also have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good relationships and collaborate effectively within the unit, across other departments at KTH, and within InnoEnergy.

Preferred qualifications

  • Current knowledge and experience of working in an European context, preferably within the education-area
  • Recent experience assessing academic and secondary school qualifications from other countries
  • Relevant experience as a case officer within a public authority or equivalent

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.
