Research Engineer in computational technology

Job description

We are recruiting a Research engineer for the Division of computational science and technology. The work is performed within a collaboration with the medtech company Getinge AB and is funded by Vinnova. A larger number of existing computational models will be tested and further developed with a focus on evaluation against both synthetic data and patient data from mechanical ventilators (the kind of equipment which saved many patients with lung disease during the Covid pandemics).

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in computational science and technology or equivalent competence.
  • Good working skills in python and specifically its libraries in scientific computing, machine learning, graphics and use of PyTorch.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with time series processing including basic processing of such data.
  • Experience in Matlab programming.
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality.
  • Good social and communication skills and ability to work independently.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.
