This is the seventh talk of the seminar on algebraic K-theory and derived algebraic geometry

The seminar will be held via Zoom. The meeting is scheduled at this link.

Abstract

In this talk I will present the universal property of connective K-theory and prove that connective K-theory takes certain "exact sequences" of stable infinity categories to cofiber sequences of spectra. To do this I will first talk about the necessary background on stable infinity categories and present Waldhausen's simplicial model for relative K-theory.
