Mats Boij: The Weak Lefschetz Property for almost complete intersections generated by uniform powers of general linear forms

Abstract

In joint work together with Samuel Lundqvist, we prove a conjecture by Migliore, Miró-Roig, and Nagel. This results in a complete classification of when an almost complete intersection generated by uniform powers of general linear forms satisfies the Weak Lefschetz Property. This is related to the Fröberg–Iarrobino conjectures and the tools that we develop in our work might be used to settle more open cases of the conjectures.
