Mehrdad Nasernejad: Classes of normally and nearly normally torsion-free monomial ideals

Abstract

In this talk, we study some classes of normally and nearly normally torsion-free monomial ideals. We first consider a characterization of all finite simple connected graphs with nearly normally torsion-free cover ideals. Next, we explore a characterization of all normally torsion-free t-spread principal Borel ideals that can also be viewed as edge ideals of uniform multipartite hypergraphs. We finish this talk with stating some open questions in this theme.
