Abstract:

I will talk about a Fokker–Planck-like PDE which aims to describe noisy neurons, and in particular grid cells. Grid cells are neurons which are essential in the brain’s representation of physical space. In particular, I will discuss current results and obstacles concerning noise-induced pattern formation and asymptotic stability for this model.
