Meeting and field work in Greenland

August 3-6, (organizer), , and are participating in a workshop titled “Living Legacies” about the history of the Arctic and the Nordic countries, in Ilulissat, Greenland (co-organized with Stian Bones from the University of Tromsø, and the History of Norwegian Polar Politics project).

Then August 7-14 Peder, Dag (leader), Hanna, and are conducting a week of fieldwork in the abandoned coal mining settlement of Qullissat on Disko Island as part of the Nordregio project Sustainable Arctic Communities and the Legacies of Mining (funded by Nordregio).
