The 9th Archipelago Lecture in Recording

We were honored to have Achille Mbembe as the lecturer for our 9th Archipelago Lecture. With the title "Reflections on Planetary Habitability" Achille revisited the concept of “planetary habitability” and showed the extent to which planetary habitability is inseparable from a politics of care, repair and restitution. For the first time in the Archipelag Lecture Series we can publish a recording for those who missed the event and those who would like to go back and watch it again.

Achille Mbembe is a research Professor of History and Politics at the Wits Institute for Social and Economic Research in Johannesburg, South Africa and a Visiting Professor at Duke University.
