I am currently a researcher in Food Science and Technology, where I contribute to both research and academic activities. My work also includes aiding in the setup of the Laboratory for Food Chemistry and Foodomics, and actively contributing to the organization's efforts of KTH FOOD, as well as supervising and mentoring students.

I hold a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Aalto University, Finland, and have a background in biotechnology, microbiology, food science, and enzymology. My research is driven by a strong interest in sustainability, with a focus on developing biotechnological solutions for more sustainable food systems, renewable materials, and industrial processes.

My primary research area now focuses on converting agricultural by-products and food waste into value-added, functional food ingredients, as well as understanding their impact on human health.

In parallel, I also work in enzyme biotechnology for biomass conversion and the development of functional materials. This includes the discovery, engineering, and optimization of enzymes for the breakdown or functionalization of biomass, as well as the evaluation of their functional applications.
