Ilka Jahn received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, in 2015. She spent one year at ABB Corporate Research in Sweden working on multilevel converters. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, in 2021.
Ilka´s PhD project about protection for multiterminal HVDC grids was funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 691714.
She is currently working as a PostDoc on open-source HVDC control and protection, funded by the Swedish Energy Agency, RTE and Svenska Kraftnät.
