Examination

  • PRO1 - Project 1, 4.5, grade scale: P, F
  • PRO2 - Project 2, 3.0, grade scale: P, F

Requirements for final grade

The course constists of two projects, PRO1, 4,5 hp, and PRO2, 3 hp. To obtain the grade passed in the course, submission of all assignments and active participation at a minimum of 80% is required at all work-shops, lectures, tutorials and reviews.

- PRO1: For the review of PRO1 all the material from the Tutorial 1 through 4 is to be organised and presented in a logical and attractive manner where graphic language and form as well as the selection of content support the concept and design. The aim of PRO1 is to create a clear thread of communication in order to test the strength of your work. The PRO1 presentations, one per group should be up-loaded here.

Additional literature will be decided upon by the tutor in relation to each groups concept.

Review schedules

The purpose of the reviews is to practice different forms of presentation as well as to test the strength of your work. Therefore the reviews will be of different character. Absence from reviews will always result in an additional assignment.

DIGITAL SUBMISSION: 

  • A digital presentation that clearly describes your service/ product containing the points a - e, optional number of pages. Can also be moving image. 
  • One submission per group. 
  • Group number and names of all participants should be on the first page of the submitted document. 
  • Files are saved according to the following principle : PRO13_Group number_Date (eg PRO13_2_150423.pdf ) 

The submission must not be late as another group will present your project and need time to practice. Do not forget to email or otherwise make your presentation available to the group that will present your proposal. See description and outline of the review below.

Description of the arrangements for the review

The focus of the presentation this time is to enthuse and sell an idea and a product/ service. Each group will present another group's work. Presentations will be structured in the following way:

  • 7 minutes: presentation of the project
  • 5 minutes: clarification of the group that developed the project
  • 10 minutes: general discussion
  • 5 minutes: feed-back from teacher

Do not forget to select a time keeper!

Be well prepared to present the project that you have been assigned, you should enthuse the audience and make us believe it is a great idea. Practice the presentation, decide in advance how you present and who presents what, take time - you only have 7 minutes to convey the project idea.

IMPORTANT! Note the following and submit your notes to the group that has developed the project:

  1. What is missing in terms of presentation and content of the project that you have presented.
  2. What is the essence of the project that you have presented and how could it be reinforced.

Viktigt att tänka på

Vi kommer under projektets gång att arbeta med flera olika kreativa metoder. Då vi har ett begränsat tidsspann kommer upplägget att te sig linjärt. Dock är det viktigt att påpeka att den kreativa processen sällan är linjär eller går att tidsplanera. Med detta i bakhuvudet, se till att alltid ha anteckningsmöjligheter.

Misströsta inte heller om ni under projektets gång ser att ni måste backa flera steg eller “börja om”. Ibland händer det också att man först hamnar i slutet för att sedan behöva nysta upp och se var början ligger.

Vi kommer att djupdyka i designprocessens initiala faser, samtidigt som det är viktigt att förstå att designprocessen inte slutar då produkten eller tjänsten hamnar hos en tillverkare eller operatör.

Ert materialet ska fortlöpande struktureras och formatteras, parallelt med projektutvecklingsarbetet, så att det är förståeligt och går att presentera för en utomstående person. Alla tankar och allt arbete måste på något sätt översättas till kommunicerbart material, det kan vara objekt/modeller, text, bilder, diagram, etc.

Då examinationen baseras på processen ska allt arbete sparas och dokumenteras. Sista inlämningsuppgiften utgår från allt skissarbete - se Reflektion i slutet av detta dokument.
