Abstract:
In this project we will use crowdsourcing to ease the power of
CPU computation. Given a database with a lot of different
workers, specialized in different fields, the problem is to
know which worker is the best for the job. It is
crowd-selection’s task to find the most suited worker for your
problem. In this experiment we will investigate what method to
use for selecting the best worker and then evaluate the
result.

Because
of the relatively limited scope of this project, we will most
likely have to simulate different jobs and workers rather than
using actual machines, and jobs may need to be rigged in order
to take longer than necessary, or faked altogether. This is
since the main focus of the project is the crowdsourcing
functionality rather than completing a secondary task.
Alternatively some mundane or relatively useless tasks may be
chosen.
