Environmental Philosophy

Environmental Philosophy is a branch of philosophy that studies ethical, epistemological, ontological and decision theoretical questions relating to man’s interaction with the natural environment. Among the core areas of interest for environmental philosophers are: how to value the environment, the moral status of animals, plants and ecosystems, the concept of sustainable development, endangered species, restoration of nature, consideration of future generations, and the means and ends of environmental policy.
