Prathap Jeya Kaniraj

Post-doctoral fellow

Dr. Prathap Jeya Kaniraj is a post-doctoral fellow working on nickel-based catalysts on nanocellulose. During his Ph. D. studies, he worked on enantioselective synthesis using different transition metal catalyst at the Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI, India). He has also a post-doctoral experience from the TECHNION-Israel Institute of Technology in the group of Prof. Galiya Maayan.

Laura Mesas Sanchez

PhD student

Laura Mesas Sánchez worked kinetic resolutions of racemic alcohols using a ferrocene-based DMAP catalyst. She defended her thesis 2014 (28 Nov) entitled "Organocatalytic Acylation for the kinetic resolution of secondary alcohols – Synthetic Applications and mechanistic studies" .

Laura is currently working at Bioworks in Uppsala, Sweden.

Alba Estrella Díaz Álvarez worked on the synthesis of highly functionalized ferrocenes. Her work aimed toward the development of synthetic ion channels and application of ferrocenes within catalysis, 2011-2013.

Sebastian started his Ph. D. studies in Berlin (2013).

Mattias Göransson performed his B. Sc. (2012) and synthesized a library of β-hydroxy-β-arylpropionates.

Jia-Fei Poon

Master student

Jia-Fei Poon performed both his B. Sc. and M. Sc. (2010-2011) synthesized new inhibitors for the p38-kinase based on the stilbene scaffold. Jia-Fei is currently working as a Ph. D. student in Prof. Lars Engman's group at Uppsala university.
