Research at the Division of Surface and Corrosion Science
The research at surface and corrosion science covers most aspects of corrosion, surfaces and colloids. Corrosion research spans from atmospheric, marine and in vivo corrosion, to the fate of metallic nanoparticles in the body. Many of the tools used are reflected in the soft matter interfacial science activities. These span friction, tribology, next generation electrolytes, cosmetics, drug delivery and materials coatings.
The division makes frequent use of large scale facilities such as synchrotrons and neutron sources to perform surface and material research.
