KTH student team third in IT contest
Student Team Panda, from KTH´s School of Information & Communication Technology, finished on third place during “Innovate Nordic”, a Nordic IT design contest.
Xin Liu and Huan Fang, two of our students at the Master Programme ”System-on-Chip Design”, participated with a system for handling and identifying vocal imprints.
- This is all based on the fact that every human voice is unique, they explain. We all have our own voice imprints, just as we have our own fingerprints! This may be used for certain specific purposes, such as logging-on in you own computer.
A total of 66 student teams from all the Nordic countries took part in the competition. Of these two Swedish teams reached the finals; one of them was Team Panda.
Innovate Nordic is a contest open to all Nordic students of electronics & computer systems. Evaluations are made by a jury, taking both the market potentials and technological qualities of each project into consideration. This year the contest was won by the Danish Team Digital Stereo.
