KTH 200 years

KTH celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2027
KTH has played an essential role in the development of society over the past 200 years, both in Sweden and internationally. However, the Royal Institute of Technology we know today had a humble beginning in 1827 as the Institute of Technology. It was a practically orientated school teaching introductory chemistry, physics, mathematics, and craft skills. Today, KTH is Sweden's largest and foremost technical university and is ranked in the top 100 in the world. This journey is, of course, something we want to celebrate with you alumni. Stay tuned; we will tell you more in the future!
We are making an anniversary book. Do you have any tips?
For the anniversary year, we are working on a coffee table book about KTH's role in society for over 200 years. It will describe our history with essential milestones, people, events, innovations, etc.
Do you have a KTH story you would like to share, or do you have suggestions for something we should not miss? The editorial team is happy to receive suggestions for stories with a KTH connection. It can be anything from innovations, research results, or alumni who have made an impact to funny anecdotes, student stories, and memories of places at KTH.
We will read all contributions. KTH may use stories not included in the book in other ways, such as through digital channels.
We also welcome tips on pictures, press clippings, and the like (please describe the item in the form below before submitting it).
